Quality Improvement Leaders: A conversation with Sir David Dalton
We look forward to welcoming you to NHS Quest’s ‘Quality Improvement for Leaders’ webinar session with Sir David Dalton, Former Chief Executive of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group, on Monday 1st February 2021. This is part of a series of short webinars from prominent QI leaders from across the NHS and beyond.
About the session
The conversation will include discussions on leadership styles and their impact on supporting high reliability organisations. Sir David will share his insight and experiences and talk about the role and importance of QI knowledge and skills in developing todays leaders.
Background
Sir David Dalton is the former Group Chief Executive of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group. A major figure in the health service, Sir David has 40 years’ of experience in the NHS and has over 20 years’ experience as an NHS Chief Executive.
He has developed national health policy and advised government in the areas of patient safety, new organisational forms and digital development, and was the founder Chair of NHS Quest and aqua. In 2014 David received his knighthood in the New Year Honours for his services to healthcare and was also recognised as the top Chief Executive in both 2015 and 2016 by the Health Service Journal.
He is also the Vice Chair of the Greater Manchester Academic Health Science Network and a Governor of the Health Foundation.
