NHS Quest and learning from the COVID-19 crisis

The Coronavirus pandemic has seen unprecedented times, but we recognise that organisations that drive continuous and consistent QI approaches are evidencing strong responses to the challenges of COVID-19.

As part of our continued support for our network, over the next few weeks, we will be hosting a series of weekly sessions to reflect on your Trust’s experience and to share your learning. We intend these sessions to be a live and progressive approach to how we move through COVID-19 as a crisis into recovery and post recovery stages.

Today, Tuesday 12 May, we held our first weekly session, which saw a great turnout of NHS Quest Members coming together.  The session provided the opportunity for our network to discuss insight into QI approaches, to share ideas and celebrate our successes, along with providing a safe space to learn and reflect from.

Over the past few weeks we have been collaborating with AQuA to develop a number of resources, namely our Rapid Change Learning Package, as part of the AQuA Knowledge Xchange platform,which formed the basis of our discussion. The document was well received by those members present and will continue to prompt  our discussions and learning during these sessions.

Over the next few weeks, the weekly sessions will cover a range of topics, to help move the network forward and challenge the thinking we need for this new world.

These topics will include;

  • Knowledge and capability
  • Trust and engagement
  • Communication and sharing learning
  • Planning for Post Covid Recovery Stages
