Dr Amar Shah is Consultant forensic psychiatrist & Chief Quality Officer at East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT). He leads at executive and Board level at ELFT on quality, performance, strategy, planning and informatics.
This session will provide a space for conversation about what it really takes to develop a culture of continuous improvement, and leadership for improvement.

Sir David Dalton is the former Group Chief Executive of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group. A major figure in the health service, Sir David has 40 years’ of experience in the NHS and has over 20 years’ experience as an NHS Chief Executive.
In the second session in our series, Sir David will share his insight and experiences and talk about the role and importance of QI knowledge and skills in developing todays leaders.

David Fillingham CBE, is the former Chief Executive of quality improvement organisation, the Advancing Quality Alliance (aqua). He was appointed to the role in 2010 before retiring in the summer of 2019.

Mike Farrar is the former Chief Executive of NHS Confederation. Prior to this, Mike was chief executive of the North West England SHA from May 2006 to April 2011. He was previously held the position of Chief Executive of West Yorkshire and South Yorkshire Strategic Health Authorities, and Head of Primary Care at the Department of Health.

Helen Bevan is the Chief Transformation Officer at NHS Horizons. She is acknowledged globally for her expertise and energy for large scale change in health and care. During her 25 years as a change leader in the English National Health Service, Helen has been at the forefront of many NHS improvement initiatives that have made a difference for thousands of patients and for the staff who care for them.

Andrew Foster is the Chair Of Manx Care, the integrated provider of all forms of health and social care on the Isle of Man which comes into being on 1 April 2021. Previously, he was interim Managing Director of the NHS Leadership Academy and Executive Lead for Leadership at NHSE/I. This followed 12 years as Chief Executive at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS FT including being a founding member and Chair of NHS Quest. Previously he was Director of HR for the NHS at the Department of Health.
